About this Course
Creating fast, flexible, and responsive websites with a consistent design is now an essential skill. To achieve this, many developers turn to libraries and frameworks, which have become increasingly popular. As a front-end developer, being proficient with at least one front-end framework is crucial.

Bootstrap, a widely used CSS framework, offers a comprehensive collection of templates to streamline website development. According to W3Techs.com, Bootstrap is used by almost one-fifth of all websites.

In this short course, part of the IBM Front-End Developer Professional Certificate, you’ll not only equip yourself with key concepts like grid system layouts, content, forms, cards, and carousels, but also gain hands-on experience creating website components using Bootstrap.

The hands-on labs in this course will equip you with the skills to set up Bootstrap for a project, create components and alert buttons, create and test apps and webpages, and customize its elements. You will also use Bootstrap classes, grid classes, responsive layouts, and prebuilt Bootstrap components to design, develop, and enhance a webpage. In the final project you will apply these skills to build a responsive and visually appealing website for a fine-dining restaurant.

After completing this course, you will be able to:
  • Describe the key features and benefits of using Bootstrap.
  • Outline key classes and components offered by Bootstrap.
  • Create a simple React app and use Bootstrap for styling.
  • Build flexible and responsive websites using Bootstrap.
